Oh Mary, what a life you had! From growing up on a farm in Kenya to receiving an MBE from Queen Elizabeth II! Always known as "Little Mary" to the Family, she was the epitome of decency, reliability, loyalty, beauty and love. Her door was always open, her advice was always honest and her standards were always impeccably high. She was popular with everyone and had a wonderful, even wicked, sense of humour.
She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, valued and loved. Her loyalty to family and friends never wavered and her kindness was given so freely and naturally. She so dearly loved her husband Bill whom she called "Big Bear" and they were devoted to each other living in Islington, London. She was resilient after Bill's passing and lived life to the full extent usually with her close friend Christine.
Sadly, her twilight years were marred by dementia but she was lovingly cared for by her Care Home in Glastonbury and by her niece Vivian. Her song may be over but her melody lives on in our hearts forever.
Michael (Nephew).
